Architect - Academician - Traveler
Shikha is an Architect from CEPT University. Given an opportunity to participate and complete a design studio in department of Architecture at Bern University of Applied sciences in Switzerland, she was further exposed to various teaching methods, culture and vivid design languages. She along with Ashish Parmar drives a decade old practice Achyutam designs that encompass various architectural and interior projects exhibiting a sensitive approach while dealing with common issues with distinctive manner. The core attempt of hers is to lend user sensitive and yet sensorial experience through the design solutions. She believes that the - collaboration of the poetic and pragmatic is must to celebrate the process of reimagining and
building healthy built environments.
She has an inclination towards research which is evident in her exhibited thesis about architectural expressions and elaborations of movement towards water. She is pursuing research work on vernacular house forms and culture of Jalna, Uttarakhand.
Her intuitive initiatives towards teaching as well as profession serves as a crucial connective tissue between the abstract world of academia and reality of practice. She has been instrumental as an academician since 2014 in various Design institutions like CEPT University, Nirma and SAL. She is well travelled and follows ‘The more you see and experience, more you learn’.
