Some products are made to sit on a shelf. Others are made to be held up, photographed, and remembered as part of a moment. When ACC Cement Limited came on board as an official partner for the Paytm T20 series between India and Bangladesh in 2019, they needed a Man of the Match trophy that felt as significant as the performances it would celebrate, something built rather than bought off a catalogue.

The brief was to create the "Kamaal Ka Moment Award," a shield shaped trophy that carried both a message and a material identity tied back to ACC's own business as a cement and building materials brand. The result was a solid, textured grey shield finished to resemble stone or concrete, engraved with a tribute to the player's standout moment on the field, mounted on a brass frame and presented on a rich black velvet base.

Every detail was considered for occasion and durability. The engraved copy needed to read clearly under stage lighting and camera flashes. The metal fittings had to hold their finish through repeated handling, travel, and presentation ceremonies across the series. And the shield itself needed to feel substantial in hand, a trophy a player would actually want to lift and keep, not a token gesture.

Branding was worked into the base plate cleanly, giving ACC and the Paytm T20 series visibility without overwhelming the design, so the award stayed focused on celebrating the player rather than the sponsor.

Delivered in 2019 for the India versus Bangladesh series in Mumbai, this project shows how a well designed trophy can do double duty: honoring a genuine sporting achievement while giving a brand a physical, memorable presence in that moment of celebration.
