Some buildings are defined by where they stand. This one stands above a functioning railway station, part of the Mahatma Mandir Convention Center cluster in Gandhinagar, as India's first five-star premium property built directly over active rail infrastructure.

Our role was the building's elevation: a system of GFRC screens that define the façade's character across the entire structure. Each screen measures 6 feet by 9 feet, cast as a single monolithic unit rather than assembled from smaller sections. At that size, a minor deviation in one panel compounds across dozens, and a façade this scale has no tolerance for visible inconsistency. Every screen had to match exactly, in depth, finish, and fit, for the elevation to read as one continuous surface.

The engineering challenge was matched by a logistical one. The project came to us on short notice, with a full supply and delivery window of just 35 working days, casting and delivering panels of this size in sequence to the contractor, PSP Projects Limited, without a single compromise on quality to meet the timeline.

We delivered on schedule, every panel installed, every screen holding its place in a façade built for a property positioned to represent international standards on Indian soil.

The Leela Gandhinagar now stands as a landmark of modern Indian engineering, and our contribution reflects a standard we hold as non-negotiable at The Concrete SHOP®: precision is respect, and every millimeter matters, regardless of the timeline it's built against.
