Outdoor furniture has a demanding brief. It has to hold up to sun, rain, and daily use, while still inviting someone to sit down and stay a while.

For this Gandhinagar residence, that brief was met with a concrete table and bench set cast in a smooth grey finish, built for permanence rather than seasonal replacement. Where most outdoor furniture wears down and gets swapped out every few years, concrete offers something different: a piece that ages with the space around it, gaining character rather than losing it.

The form stays deliberately simple. Clean lines, a solid presence, nothing applied or decorative that isn't structural. That restraint is intentional furniture designed to complement a garden or courtyard rather than compete with it, letting the setting remain the focus while the piece quietly anchors it.

This is where material honesty matters most in outdoor design. Concrete, left smooth and grey, doesn't pretend to be wood or stone. It is simply itself solid, dependable, weather-resistant, cast once and built to remain exactly where it was placed.
